War Reveals Man's Worst Impulses

The Syrian civil war lays bare some of the reasons that I was and continue to be a conscientious objector to war. Non-violent conflict resolution often comes with a higher death toll but if this kind of depravity is part of the price of war I would rather be counted among the dead.
